I was born and raised in London, England.  I am the oldest of four children.  My family moved to Oakville, Ontario, Canada in the mid 80’s and I didn’t want to come with them so I stayed behind.

Living and working in London with all your friends around you and family far away was an amazing feeling at first but after a while I really missed them.  So when my sister was in London for a Holiday I decided to fly back with her and surprise my family, as they were going to be at the Airport to pick her up…  That is how I landed in Canada.

I started working in retail so that I could meet people and make lots of friends and decide if I was going to stay in Canada.  As I had told my Mummy “that I was only here for a year to try it out”

After working at Oakville Place in a retail store for a few months I was promoted to assistant manager at their Sherway Gardens store.

A year later, I had decided that I was going to stay in Canada.  So my last day at the retail store was on a Friday as I was starting a new job on the Monday.  However, I was involved in a very bad car accident on the Saturday and I ended up being air-lifted to Sunnybrook Hospital unconscious and I stayed there for quite a while.

Part of my rehabilitation was to be retrained and that is when I went into the Insurance Industry.  My Stepfather's Insurance company let me work there as part of my rehabilitation.  That is where I learned the true facts of Life insurance... the Good, the Bad and the Ugly!

I also learned a huge lesson.  My Father tragically died when I was 8 years old, and as a child you don’t know if your family is rich or poor.  But because my Father had purchased the right type of Life Insurance he had provided my Mum and us with a very comfortable financial future… Thanks Dad

That is why I’m so passionate about helping and educating Families.
